Terms of use
FixFare is run by EasyGov (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2024/365166/07), South Africa ("we", "us"). By using FixFare you agree to these terms. FixFare is free and in beta.
1. A guide, not professional advice
FixFare shows indicative price ranges published by third parties, and an automated reading of quotes you give it. It isn't a valuation, a quote, a recommendation of any contractor or a judgment of anyone's work. FixFare doesn't inspect jobs and isn't a registered plumber, electrician, engineer or installer. Decide for yourself, and get 2–3 itemised quotes from registered tradespeople.
2. Accuracy
We take care to copy published figures correctly and link to each source with the date we checked it, but publishers change their prices and we can't guarantee any figure is complete, current or right for your job. The quote check uses an AI model to read and list items, and it can misread a quote. Always check the result against your quote.
3. What you may submit
Only submit quotes you are entitled to share. Remove personal details you don't want sent (your device removes common ones automatically; see the privacy policy). Don't use the quote check to harass, defame or publish anything about a contractor. Automated or bulk use isn't allowed, and there is a free daily limit.
4. Contractors
FixFare never names, rates or ranks contractors and never publishes quotes. If you think something on FixFare is wrong or unfair to you, email [email protected] and we'll respond within 5 working days.
5. Liability
To the extent the law allows, FixFare isn't liable for any loss arising from use of the site or reliance on its ranges or results. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
6. Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. South African law applies.
